Former NFL Star Antonio Brown Files Innocent Response in Attempted Murder Trial

One-time NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown is returning to Miami to confront an murder attempt allegation stemming from a shooting that took place in May, with his attorney submitting a not guilty plea on his behalf.

Detention records in Essex, New Jersey, reveal that Brown was released on Tuesday early for his move to Florida. Brown, a highly popular athletes in the National Football League, had waived transfer to Florida from New Jersey, in which he was taken after being apprehended in the city of Dubai.

Brown’s attorney, Mark Eiglarsh, said in an email that he has earlier filed a documented not guilty plea to the attempted murder accusation. Brown could be in a Miami court as soon as Wednesday early for a bail session, Eiglarsh said.

According to his apprehension order, Brown is alleged of seizing a handgun from a protection staffer after a celebrity match event in May and shooting two rounds at a person he had clashed with previously. The claimed victim, Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, stated to investigators that one shot scraped his nape.

Eiglarsh asserted that Brown was merely protecting himself from Nantambu.
